Gabriel J. Catanus, Ph.D.
Community Leader
In recent years, I have served as a nonprofit board member and advocate for a range of communities and causes. As a Filipino American pastor in Chicago, my church and I are committed to long-term partnerships with other minoritized communities in our city and overseas. This year, I joined several others to launch the Asian American Christian Collaborative.
I consider myself a servant of the Common Good and of the Church at large. For this reason, I am a champion of small churches and congregations in transition, a friend to ministry families, and a mobilizer of next generation ministry leaders. I'm also the founder of the Filipino American Ministry Summit and Blessed to Give, helping thus far to raise more than $30,000 for others in need.
